Invitation for expressions of interest from community members to sit on a selection panel to oversee the appointment of a contractor

As part of Westway Trust's commitment to put the community at the centre of everything we do, we are now inviting applications from members of our community to sit on a project group to oversee the appointment of a contractor to work on the refurbishment of the Acklam WC's.

Purpose of the Selection Panel

The selection panel will oversee the delivery of the restoration of the WC's situated in Acklam Village. The community members will assist in selecting the most suitable contractor who can meet the requirements of the job.

Time Commitment

The panel will meet once or twice for approximately 2 hours. Meetings will be held at a time and date convenient to the members of the selection panel. Meetings will be in person.

Remuneration

Community members who are selected to sit on the panel will be offered compensation to cover their time and expenses.

Criteria

We are seeking a community representative who will meet the following criteria:

Live or work in one of the 5 wards of North Kensington - St Helen's, Golborne, Notting Dale, Colville and Dalgarno - or demonstrate a considerable interest in these wards.

Knowledge of the Trust and its social purpose.

Have a vision for the area under the Westway that will bring about long-term sustainable change for the community.

Conflict of Interest

Members must declare to the group where their personal or professional interests are in conflict (or could be in conflict) with the interests or business of the project group.

If you are interested in being part of this Steering Group, please get in touch with communitystreet@westway.org
