Strip out work will enable us to enable the quantification of the salvageable existing materials and confirmation of the scope for their refurbishment, as well as the identification of any further surveys and investigative works that may be required. This will allow for more robust and accurate measurement within the tender pricing document, reducing the risk of variations once in contract, and for the designs to be sense checked and adjusted as required subject to the conditions found.

The refurbishment and re-opening of the public toilets on Acklam Road is the first of thirteen projects which have been agreed as part of the Community Street project.
Strip out work has already commenced, with work expected to be completed and the toilets re-opened for public use by June 2023.
The operating model for the toilets will be decided by May 2023.
Our overarching aim is to provide or facilitate the provision of clean, safe, accessible and sustainable toilets for local residents and visitors.
